The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path lies within a 10-minute drive, with Abermawr and Aberbach beaches accessible on foot through National Trust woodland. Spring brings bluebells, anemones and wild garlic to the path. Mathry village itself has a pub and the Church of the Holy Martyrs, and the wider area offers excellent walking and cycling terrain. Yr Hen Felin sits in a courtyard group of converted farm buildings, surrounded by open countryside with a character that comes from its mill heritage—exposed stonework and a distinctive hallway with a high ceiling are original features.
The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: a double and a bunk room. Downstairs, the living and dining area has a gas fire and French doors opening onto an enclosed garden with seating. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering, and there's a utility room with a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are provided. An enclosed patio with garden furniture is a sheltered spot for the evening. One small dog is welcome. Parking for two cars is available on site.
