What visitors say
Went there Easter weekend 2026 and it was closed with over grown grass, pity could be a lovely site

Maybe there should be something on here to say it's closed? My mum got to the site ahead of me... Thankfully we live less than an hour away so not too bad, but was told that they're closed and awaiting a council license. So now stuck in no mans land wondering what to do thanks to a review just a week ago saying its open.

This is a place you can stay if you know of it. If not it's going to be hard to find Not signposted. We stayed peak July/Aug and there was one other camper. Take your own loo and don't expect any shower. Site owners advice.... Watch for the nettles! It's actually a great site if your looking for a quiet camp in walking distance of the town. Will definitely be back (with loo 😂)
