Fairfield
Pendle
Barley village sits at the foot of Pendle Hill in the Forest of Bowland, surrounded by countryside that draws walkers year-round. The Pendle Way and Witches Trail both start nearby, and the hill itself dominates the landscape. A picnic area within 150 yards doubles as a launch point for exploring the area on foot. Clitheroe's Norman castle and market shops lie 8 miles away; the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Fylde Coast are all within an hour's drive.
Fairfield is a ground-floor cottage sleeping six across three bedrooms—a kingsize, a double, and a third bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower; there's a separate toilet too. A conservatory overlooks the enclosed garden, which slopes toward a stream and includes a sitting area. The living and dining space has a wood-burner and patio doors opening onto the garden. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with a dishwasher and washing machine. Parking for two cars sits on-site; one dog can stay free.
The village itself is compact and welcoming, with a pub, café and restaurant all within walking distance. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. No smoking is permitted inside.
