Barrowford is a working village on the edge of the Pendle moorlands, with local shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. River Cottages – Barrowford Flat is one of three holiday homes on the same site, each with its own parking. The setting is rural enough to feel like a proper escape, but close enough to everyday amenities that you won't need to plan every outing.

The flat spreads across two floors with space for six guests. Downstairs is an open-plan living and kitchen area where you can cook, eat and relax together; the kitchen has everything from oven and hob to dishwasher and tumble dryer. Three bedrooms are divided between ground and first floor – two doubles and one twin that can be arranged as a super king – and two bathrooms serve the property, one of them en-suite to a double. A spiral staircase leads up to a games room, which sets the tone for the kind of relaxed, sociable break this place is designed for. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking indoors.
