Vale Pick Your Own

We love this place and always have such a great experience here! We visited on the second day of their opening, and while the strawberries weren't fully red just yet, we still had the best time. Make sure you don't leave without trying the strawberry milkshake, it is a must! Highly recommend for a lovely family day out.

Title: Aggressive, suspicious owner + terrible value for money We visited as a family to pick strawberries, but the experience was ruined from the start. The owner — a man with light hair, a beard, and wearing dark sunglasses — was very aggressive and confrontational. He acted as if we were going to steal or run off without paying, constantly watching us closely across the field. He treated us like we couldn’t be trusted, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome the whole time. We paid £60 in total for what we picked, and also bought strawberry milkshakes. They were completely watery, with no real milk or strawberries in them at all — just coloured water, not worth the money. This place is overpriced, the service is rude, and the attitude is shocking. Do not recommend, especially for families. We will never be coming back.

A Wonderful Day at Vale Pick Your Own We had an amazing experience at Vale Pick Your Own! It’s a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxing day out. The farm is well-organised and very welcoming. As soon as we arrived, we felt happy and excited to start picking. The strawberry fields were full of fresh, juicy strawberries, and we had so much fun walking through the rows, choosing the ripest ones. The strawberries were sweet, delicious, and far better than anything from the supermarket. It felt great to pick them with our own hands and enjoy them straight from the plant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall environment was clean and family-friendly. We also loved seeing other people enjoying the place – kids, couples, and groups of friends all having a good time. There’s something satisfying and joyful about picking your own fruit in such a lovely setting. After picking, we relaxed and took some nice photos to remember the day. It was truly a refreshing and enjoyable experience, and we definitely plan to come back again soon. We love this place as a family over the summer when we regularly visit to pick strawberries and raspberries, however for us this place comes alive in October! 🎃 Twilight pumpkin picking has become our favourote annual family tradition and this year it was better than ever. So atmospheric and the most incredible variety of pumpkins available! The kids absolutely love it here, we’ve tried a few other places over the years but this is hands down the best 🧡
