We stayed 5 days in this lovely old pub. The food was delicious and plenty if it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It's in a beautiful quiet village and we were lucky enough to have some gorgeous evenings, sitting outside on the terrace which overlooks a stream and a church. The room was very comfortable and clean but due to the age of this building the stair case, up to the rooms, is a little steep if you aren't to good on your legs.

Fantastic food, great service - the chocolate cake is from another world! Amazing! So good that I ordered a second one…. 😬 Great garden area, pizza oven outside, clean inside and out, great food and very friendly staff. We will be back! Thank you!

Utterly perfect country pub lunch. We were so spoilt by the service of all staff members, welcoming, attentive and thoughtful throughout. Loved the interior, table, spacing and all the table settings. The food was spot on. We tried a good part of the menu- wonderfully crisp fish and chips, top notch pie with slow cooked beef cheek, juicy and tender steaks and a good looking burger. The portion size was a delight, generous but so not so much you overeat and regret it. Plenty of room for a round of desserts, 10/10 for the cheese plate and the ice creams. We’re so delighted we visited and making plans to return to finish the menu. Everything you’re looking for in a vale country gastro pub.

The perfect country Inn.The friendliest welcome from the owner and team, excellent service, delicious food, enchanting peaceful location. Excellent value for money. We enjoyed our two night stay very much and thoroughly recommend.
