Found this country house no problem, great big estate its on, big secured carpark which was good as i was on a motorcycle, the main gates get locked up at night, opening at 7-30am, there is also parking at the front too. Great cosy bar restaurant area, very helpful staff, very good food, the Hake was lovely. Nice bright room, modern, comfortable bed & warm too. I was the only one down for breakfast at 08.30, had poached eggs & toast, (best eggs I've tasted in a long time), very good service & set up that made you feel welcome & relaxed.

We visited a few years ago when new management had taken over and the service was not fully organised. Nevertheless it is an impressive, airy, modernish country pub' without being at all 'plastic'. Excellent for families because there is a huge kids' play area to the rear. We did not eat so no comments on the food.
