The Queens Hotel

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. I am really so impressed with the quality and comfort of the rooms and the friendly staff who were so helpful and where nothing was ‘too much trouble’. No it’s not a ‘boutique ‘ hotel but an honest and very reasonably priced hotel with everything you should need. If my dogs were good travellers they would have definitely received a warm welcome. The range of meals on offer were varied and not expensive although having been at a wedding all day I was unable to try anything. I would have been torn between the steak and the tarragon pasta dish. Anticipating an early departure I was very much encouraged to book a breakfast and I’m so pleased I did as everything was fresh and tasty..I would most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel inspector’ may frown at the decor and probably the numerous pictures and mirrors but she would most definitely be very impressed with the standard of hygiene and cleanliness. It was spotless. ( as a domestic goddess) I checked. Immaculate.👏👏👏👏 Well done everyone and thank you.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. My train was heavily delayed and I didn't arrive until well after midnight, but the reception team still gave me a warm welcome and handled the check-in patiently. The breakfast staff were equally lovely and always happy to answer my endless questions about the local area and the menu. The location and sea views are exceptional. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves outside the window was incredibly relaxing. As someone who often struggles with anxiety and insomnia, I was amazed to find myself sleeping for over nine hours. Waking up to clear blue skies and looking out across Mount's Bay was one of the highlights of my trip. Breakfast was excellent too. The kippers deserve a special mention – not something you see often these days, but absolutely delicious and a lovely reminder of the great British seaside tradition. A proper Cornish seafront hotel with character, stunning views and fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

Loved my stay here. The older style decoration and furnishings is so refreshing. The staff are absolutely amazing and a credit to the hotel, I arrived early after a sleepless 15 hour journey and they got me a room before check in time which was extremely appreciated. The breakfast was lovely and being able to sit inside with a coffee/pint of lager when the weather was bad and still have a sea view was nice. Will definitely be staying here again.

Large hotel that needs attention. Its pretty run down. Furniture it rooms is very old and in need of replacing. Unwashed cups in room were from last guests. Fan in bathroom wasn't working which made a very small room very hot. We stayed when the temperatures were high so air conditioning is essential especially as its a 3 star hotel. We paid a lot of money to stay here and felt quite let down to be honest. Service at breakfast was very slow and the continental breakfast buffet was a joke. Stale and not a lot to choose from as nothing was replenished.
