We stayed at orchid lodge to celebrate our Anniversary in September . The surrounding area is very nice. Really close to Pitlochry and Blair Atholl castle, which we would definitely recommend visiting. The wee pony and goats were adorable! The lodge itself was a bit disappointing to be honest. On first impressions, beautiful lodge in a beautiful area. Absolutely gorgeous hanging baskets and a huge porch with hot tub. Decorated really cosy and the free WiFi was a big bonus for our children. Unfortunately we have to agree with other reviews, the mattresses especially in twin room were really uncomfortable. The kitchen area, dishes etc weren’t clean and the bathroom was just really disgusting. Toilet stained all brown like it hadn’t seen bleach in years and grouting was all black from wet room. Left over toiletries from previous guests too. I thought we had just been a little unlucky with cleaning but I seen other reviews saying same thing so can’t understand why these issues aren’t addressed. The hot tub jets don't all work but we did have a nice night in it anyway. Lovely and warm. I can’t help but think this was maybe a beautiful lodge at one time but really in need of a wee refurb in certain areas. We left after one night as our child began to come down with a cold and wanted a comfy bed and home comforts. Overall a nice night away but one night was enough. Really wanted to give 5* but cleanliness is a basic at these prices.

Excellent wooden lodge right in the heart of Scotland. Spacious for 4 people. It's nestled within a working farm and there are 4 other lodges like this. All the amenities available and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Highlight is the private hot tub available free to use. Excellent place to relax and unwind
