The Wee House

Muthill Golf Club sits in open Perthshire countryside between Perth and Crieff, an area dotted with castles, gardens and small towns. The Wee House is a detached cottage on the edge of this golfing community, tucked into its own plot with mature gardens. Originally built as staff quarters, it has been converted into a single-storey home that works well for couples or a small family—the bedroom has a zip-and-link double bed that splits into two singles if needed, and there is a sofa bed in the sitting area for a third guest.

Everything happens on one level. The open-plan living and dining space has a wood-burning stove and glass doors onto the garden; the kitchen is fully fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Off the entrance is a useful boot room and storage space (the owner can arrange bike or golf kit storage if you need it). Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; the cottage has gas central heating and its own parking for two cars. The garden has a patio area, table and chairs, and a barbecue. Smoking is not permitted inside.

You are within easy reach of Crieff's shops and restaurants, Drummond Castle Gardens, and several golf courses including the one next door. The cottage suits anyone wanting a quiet base without the fuss of managing multiple rooms.
