Couples seeking a quiet break will find Drummond Lodge appeals, a single bedroom cabin set within woodland near Crieff. The whole property is yours alone, with ground-floor access and an open-plan layout that combines a living area, kitchen with electric hob, and bedroom with king-size bed. A shower room with heated towel rail completes the interior. Essentials such as bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are provided.

The cabin opens onto a decked garden area with furniture and a wood-fired hot tub. The woodland setting attracts wildlife—deer and pheasants move through the grounds—and the wider estate includes formal gardens first laid out in Renaissance style during the 1600s and later reshaped by the Victorians. An on-site coffee van serves food and drink. Parking is available on the grounds, and the nearby village of Muthill has shops and restaurants. The property is non-smoking. Arrive after 4pm and depart by 10am.

Visited with my elderly parents, one of whom holds a Blue Badge due to very limited mobility. The lady at the ticket counter was exceptionally lovely and helpful! I was able to park at the top first so Mum could walk, with help, through the archway and take in the wonderful views of the gardens. This area is cobbled. There's a charming mobile café with bistro tables right there, too. Afterward, we drove down to the bottom, following the signs for disabled parking. From there, the map clearly shows the accessible route into the gardens. The suggested wheelchair path takes you mostly along the grass, though be prepared for a few gravel patches that require a bit of extra effort to push through. Overall, a lovely experience!

On holiday in the area so decided to visit as we have the 2 for 1 Gardens app and Drummond Castle Gardens participates. We're so pleased we did. The gardens are bigger than we imagined and very impressive. Although we visited on a Saturday it wasn't busy, very quiet and relaxed. We will definitely visit again when in the area and do the woodland walk next time. The coffee hut as you arrive is lovely serving hot drinks, sandwiches and cakes.

Lovely few hours spent in the gardens on my way up to the Cairngorms. Well worth a visit. Very quiet. Stunning gardens, so well maintained. Lovely spots for a picnic too. Lots of parking and very easy to find. Would recommend a visit!
