Turnchapel is a working fishing village on Plymouth's waterfront, with a handful of pubs, the South West Coast Path running through it, and a pebbly beach a short walk away. Providence Cottage is a three-storey semi-detached house sleeping six, positioned in the heart of the village within 20 yards of a pub and a short walk from the estuary shore. The Clovelly Bay Inn is nearby, and Mountbatten Peninsula—with its marina, restaurants and boat trips—lies half a mile along the water's edge.
Downstairs there is a living room and a kitchen-dining room with a full range of appliances for proper cooking. Bedroom 1, on the first floor, has a double bed and an ensuite; Bedroom 2 has two singles and shares the same bathroom. The top floor holds Bedroom 3 with a zip-and-link super kingsize that can be configured as two singles. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included. An enclosed garden with seating faces the front of the property, and one dog stays free. No smoking inside.
This is a base for exploring south Devon's coast and for walking towards Plymouth Barbican via the coastal path, or simply for sitting in the garden watching the estuary. A free public car park lies 30 yards away.
