Such a treat to come here. Always immaculate, staff are welcoming and helpful and you can lose yourself for a couple of hours in total comfort in a reclining chair. What's not to love? Saw The Devil Wears Prada 2 a couple of weeks ago. Fabulous 👌

Went to watch Toy Story 5 and spent the whole film feeling guilty after paying £7.80 for a 1-litre Pepsi. How can that price possibly be justified? You can buy a 2-litre bottle of Pepsi from the supermarket for around £1.75. I know cinemas make money from concessions, but that kind of markup is just ridiculous.

Went to go and see the new Michael film. Absolutely phenomenal. The way the story of a troubled man was told was superb. The venue was nice. Expensive though and popcorn wasn’t that nice, hence the drop of one star.

Went to see Odyssey, which was a fantastic film, but the volume levels were so loud they were genuinely painful. The sound was distorted at times, and many people, myself included, spent much of the film with our fingers in our ears. After the film, my partner and I raised this with the staff at the front desk. We were initially told that the volume was already at the minimum level because it’s an immersive film and that’s how Christopher Nolan intended audiences to experience it. When I questioned how the cinema had no ability to reduce the volume, the member of staff rather curtly replied that if we’d mentioned it during the film, they might have been able to do something about it—which directly contradicted what we’d just been told. I explained that I completely understand the intention of an immersive soundtrack, but I left the cinema with my ears ringing, and at times the volume was so overwhelming that I could barely distinguish the musical score from the noise. My comments were met with little interest, and the whole interaction felt dismissive. There’s a big difference between an immersive cinematic experience and sound levels that leave customers with ringing ears. The facilities, seating and the cinema itself are excellent, but the way genuine feedback was handled has really put me off returning. I wasn’t asking for a refund or any compensation—I was simply trying to make the experience better for future audiences. I left the cinema thinking I’d rather have seen it at home on my TV.
