About Jewells Guest House
Jewells Guest House sits in Plymouth city centre, around 200 yards from the Hoe and 450 yards from the Royal Citadel, putting it within easy walking distance of the seafront, the Barbican and the main shopping streets. It is run as a family business and has been refurbished in recent years, aiming at straightforward, good-value accommodation rather than a boutique or period-house experience.
Bedrooms are simply furnished with flat-screen televisions, free super-fast WiFi and tea and coffee-making facilities, and the guest house keeps rates noticeably below the larger hotels nearby. On-street parking is available in the surrounding roads, which is a practical consideration for anyone arriving by car in this part of the city.
A full English breakfast is served each morning in a dining room with an open fireplace, with vegetarian options available, and it is one of the more consistently praised aspects of a stay here. The setting suits business travellers, those visiting family in the city and budget-minded leisure guests more than anyone looking for extensive facilities or period charm.
Its central position means the Hoe, the Barbican's restaurants and the city centre's shops are all within a short walk, making Jewells a practical, affordable base for exploring Plymouth on foot without needing to rely on taxis or buses between the main sights.

What guests say
Really close to the centre and ocean. The people are really kind and super friendly the breakfast is solid the rooms are good i got a big room with alot of space but some of my friends had smaller rooms. The showers are weird sometimes they give me warm and sometimes cold on the same temp. Butby reseting the values of the shower it should go back to normal

Very Nice stay , Unfortunately parking was an expensive problem at nearly £3.00 an hour £12 charged for a permit which i assume is £8 from plymouth city council Breakfast was tasty although very small portions!! , 1 sausage, 1 bacon and lack of milk most mornings, service was good. Another hassle was being given a room at top of stairs , 3 flights of stairs

Stayed 1 night in an en-suite twin room with my teenage daughter. Lovely warm and friendly welcome from Sally and Keith. Beautiful victorian terraced townhouse. Very spacious room, beautifully furnished, lots of care and thought given to guests - room safe, fan, hairdryer, tea/coffee tray and even a face flannel. Great WiFi. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Great location - 5 min walk to Hoe or Theatre Royal. We took the train, so I can't comment on how easy to park but other guests managed to park right outside the property.
