What visitors say
Daytona Karting delivers a very solid racing experience. The track features an excellent overall layout that keeps the laps engaging and competitive, even though it can be a little bumpy in certain sections. However, the real highlight is the equipment itself. The karts are exceptionally well-maintained and boast an impressive amount of power, making for a genuinely thrilling drive. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense venue that completely nails the fundamentals of a great track day.

We entered a 3 hour Dmax endurance event on the 29th June and like always at Tamworth it was well run by the team there. What did let it down for us was the reliability of our kart. no1 kart developed a radiator leak, then kart no 2 had a misfire caused by a cracked carburetter finally kart no 3 was ok but by then we were battling for last position! We asked for a credit note towards our next event, twice but radio silence 🤷♂️ so just bear this in mind when you are about to part with £550. You pay that money in good faith the least you should get in return is a kart fit for the race.

Great day out with the lads to Daytona, the first time I visited and the staff were friendly and the event was very safe! Would go back again!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Daytona Tamworth! This was our first time racing in heavy rain, and wow, what an experience! The speed, the roar of the engines, the skidding across wet puddles… pure fun and adrenaline. On arrival, the atmosphere was already positive. We were given a QR code to create an account and fill out consent forms. One tip: if you’re claiming the 15% student discount, it only applies per student so if you’re paying for four people, they’ll only discount the one student ticket unless everyone has a valid student card (which you need to physically show at check-in). We were given all-in-one race suits — a bit on the sweaty side, but the staff were great about swapping sizes when needed. The safety briefing before the race was spot on: clear, concise, and covered all the essential do’s and don’ts. Helmets were handed out on the way to the track. Just note you’ll need a balaclava (either bring your own or buy one there for £5). Gloves are provided. Before starting, they checked our names and allocated karts. The track is well-organised, and the team kept everything running smoothly. At the end we got a surprise a mix of hail and heavy rain in the last two laps! We were soaked, sitting in puddles in the seats, but honestly, driving a water-filled track just made it even more exhilarating. The karts themselves were a little worn but still performed well. Compared to others I’ve tried, the steering felt stiffer and more forceful to navigate, but after the 10-minute practice session, we got the hang of it before the main 20-minute race. Overall, yes, it’s a little on the pricey side but the track length, open-air setting, and the sheer fun factor make it worth it. Many thanks to the Daytona Tamworth team for keeping things safe while letting us have maximum fun. Highly recommend!
