What visitors say
I rolled up without a plan, stayed for three nights but would easily consider more; Look on pitchup for current cost/booking. This is "luxury wild camping" at a very reasonable price. They come around in the evening(7-9pm-ish) to check in on you so do them a favour and try to be around. They'll give you a display card at that time and ask if you want to buy any wood. The toilets were good(a reasonably strong flush), and in good condition. The shower was warm and had more pressure than my house in Scotland does. The drinking water tastes good. The bins were regularly checked by the farmer. The site went from very quiet on Thursday, to quite busy on Friday& Saturday; the groups around us were reasonably quiet. Consider bringing your own ear plugs for people+potential wind+potential rain if you are a light sleeper. For exploration, this site is so well situated to base out of. I walked to over 10 named "big" waterfalls in the 3 days I was here, and did over 20 hours of hiking, where there was dozens more small unnamed waterfalls.

Lovely little campsite. Basic but well maintained. Great location as we were able to do a couple of popular hiking routes on foot from the campsite. A couple of times a day you'd see staff around the site to clean loos, empty bins, check bookings, and offer fire wood. They were friendly of you needed them and non intrusive if you didnt. Like many sites in this area pitches are on a slight slope, just be mindful of this when setting up you beds. Others in our group commented that the men's facilities were a little lacking compared to the ladies but overall I can't fault this place for the price and I'd definitely consider booking again.

The campsite was nice. I think they need to clean the showers and toilets regularly and top up toliet tissues too. Apart from that everything was good.

Open pitches - loads of room. Gorgeous views. Peaceful site. Allowed campfires which made it even better on the evening. Lots of wildlife. Clean facilities. Lovely, welcoming, friendly hosts. Disliked The toilets were quiet a walk away, it’s absolutely fine, just a bit difficult with young children.
