About Adventure Pirate
Adventure Pirate lives up to its name with five acres of wild Dorset woodland where campfires crackle, kids build dens unsupervised, and your tent pitches straight onto the forest floor. Located five miles from Poole, this back-to-basics site keeps facilities minimal—a couple of composting loos, one basic shower, a water tap and washing-up station—but compensates with an activity centre offering everything from axe throwing and archery to big tree climbing and foam gun battles (guests get 25% off). You'll haul your gear from the car park in provided trolleys, then settle into proper wild camping with ground fires permitted and the Jurassic Coast within striking distance.
The freedom here is real: children roam the woods safely while parents tackle crossbow shooting or mountain biking. Facilities may be sparse, but that's the point—this is about mucking in and getting muddy. For proper meals or a pint, Lytchett Minster's pubs are a 15-minute walk, or Poole's dining scene is ten minutes by car.

Just had my daughter's 9th birthday party At Adventure Pirate. We went for a 2 hour survival skills party. They built a den, started a fire, archery, made smores and hotdogs and more! The kids had the best time and Instructors Ted and Harry were so great with them. Thank you, we will be back :) The best party my girl has had yet. Highly recommend!

We had the best time at Adventure Pirate for our 7 year old's birthday party! We went for a Nerf party and kids and grown ups alike were all saying how great they thought it was. Special mention to James and Niamh who were absolutely brilliant with our group; endlessly patient in explaining the games, encouraging, and just made it great fun for them all. They even helped the kids making the perfect s'mores. All-in-all a fantastic experience. Thoroughly recommended

We had an AMAZING survival birthday party for our 9year old girl today! She had so much fun and so did our guests!! Instructors James and Harry were very engaging with all kids, kept them busy building dens and lighting a fire as well as practicing archery! Adults had also so fun throwing some axes! Can't recommend it more, the whole site is lovely!!

My son and his friends had a fantastic nerf gun party here for his 7th birthday. The site is fantastically suited and Harry and James, who led pretty much the whole 2 hours, were brilliant! The kids participated in several different nerf gun games- Free the Prime Minister was a favourite! Would definitely come again. Thank you!
