About Anvershiel House

Coleraine Road runs through Portrush with the coast and countryside of County Antrim close by, and Anvershiel House sits along it as a straightforward, welcoming base for exploring the area. It's a short distance from Ulster University's Coleraine Campus, useful for anyone visiting on university business, and near Dhu Varren too.

Rooms at Anvershiel House are simple and bright, each with its own en-suite bathroom, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, who can also order from a kids' menu. Free WiFi and drinks in the room add convenience, while laundry service and luggage storage help with longer stays. A hot breakfast is included each morning, and there's outdoor seating for guests who want to sit outside.

The surrounding area offers golf and fishing for those who want to get outdoors, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings out. Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception make arrivals and departures straightforward, whatever time you're travelling.

We had a wonderful stay at Anvershiel House! The room was lovely—comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing overnight stay. The breakfast selection was fantastic, offering a variety of items to suit different dietary requirements. We especially loved the unique map wallpaper in the dining room! The property also offers ample parking, and it's conveniently just a short walk into town, which made exploring easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Our room was perfectly comfortable and location was OK for a walk into town. It is all self-service from check in, cold continental breakfast, make your own french press coffee, bussing your dishes, etc. after breakfast, check out. I didn't enjoy that the meats and cheeses were in store packaging in the refrigerator, which meant that everyone that was getting them was sticking their fingers in on the meats and cheeses. A tray with tongs would have been a more hygienic option. Overall, an adequate stay. A bit overpriced compared to other full-service B&B's we have stayed at.

My mom and I had a wonderful stay at the Anvershiel House! I have to give Sylvia (the owners niece) a major shoutout! She was so attentive, sweet, and fun to chat with which made us feel right at home! The rooms were very cozy and cute. The breakfast was delicious and was a great way to start the day each morning. There is a scenic walking path right on the water not too far from Anvershiel- I highly recommend you checking it out! We would definitely stay here again if we get the chance to go back to Ireland one day. Thank you Anvershiel House and Sylvia for everything and hopefully we shall meet again...
