About Inn On The Coast
Inn On The Coast has been refurbished throughout, giving it a fresh, well-kept feel while retaining the straightforward character of a proper Portrush hotel. It sits on Ballyreagh Road, within reach of Ulster University's Coleraine Campus and the surrounding County Antrim coastline, making it a practical base whether you're visiting for business or exploring the area.
Rooms are spacious and clean, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and accessible rooms available, plus the small comforts of drinks in room and room service. The restaurant and bar serve a well-regarded breakfast and evening meals, with kids' meals catered for too, and there's outdoor seating and a picnic area for fine weather. Staff are consistently friendly and attentive, and the hotel is properly geared up for dogs, with dedicated amenities that make travelling with a pet straightforward rather than an afterthought.
Free on-site parking is provided, and practical extras such as laundry service, luggage storage and business services cover most needs. Golf, fishing, pubs and restaurants are all nearby, making the hotel a sensible starting point for a few days on the Antrim coast without overpaying for it.
What guests say
Lovely hotel/Inn on the coast road between Portrush and Portstewart with the most beautiful views out into the Atlantic. On arrival staff at reception were warm and pleasant, showing us to our room before check-in time. I gave the room four stars only because I accidentally booked a dog friendly room and the room had a wooden floor making it feel a bit cold. Other than that the room was fine with a television, WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hair dryer, if you need it. The bathroom was adequate with the shower over the bath as opposed to a walk in shower. Being quite small it does not have a spa, pool, etc, but it is beautifully positioned for exploring the north coast, with Coleraine, Londonderry, and Donegal easily reached by car. There is an adequate bar with a terrace and outdoor seating and staff again were friendly. We didn't dine on the evening we stayed but had breakfast. I had the breakfast grill and my wife had granola, fruit and yoghurt, or something healthy. Lol The breakfast area was beautiful, as was the food, and if a cooked breakfast isn't your thing, there's plenty more to suit your taste. Although we stayed only one night we both like the place, and the friendly staff enough to agree to return again soon. Thank you

We decided on a last minute stay up in Portrush and found this little gem! A family of 3 plus our little 7 month old puppy, so finding a dog friendly hotel was tricky until we found this hotel. The room was absolutely huge, very clean, plus they had little treats waiting for our dog in the room. He was able to eat in the bar that evening plus breakfast the next morning. Staff are super friendly we had the same lovely receptionist on check in / out who also helped me out with a personal matter during our stay. Would stay definitely stay here again.

We are just back from a 2 night stay with our dogs. Everything was wonderful from the friendly welcome to the cheery farewell. Rooms were large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Veggie breakfast was delicious. We could take our dogs into the bar for dinner. The jewel in the crown was the staff. They were friendly, kind and could not do enough for us. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Dog owner’s paradise. Stayed one night with breakfast included. Pet friendly room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was really good. A short walk in either direction brings you into Portrush or Portstewart. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel for a night away or a short break. Would absolutely return again. Very impressed.
