Bridge End Cottage
Powys
Rhulen is a tiny village surrounded by moorland in the heart of Powys, where the landscape rolls away into walking and cycling country. Bridge End Cottage stands here as a detached property with direct access to those hills and the quieter pace of rural Wales. A stream runs three yards from the cottage, and the water supply comes from a natural spring—details that anchor the place firmly in its setting.
Inside, an open-plan ground floor contains the living and dining spaces, warmed by a woodburner, with a kitchen fitted for proper cooking: electric oven, induction hob and dishwasher. Upstairs, two double bedrooms and one single (flexible sleeping) accommodate four people. The bathroom has a bath with shower and heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi come as standard. Outside, an enclosed lawned garden with furniture gives space to sit or let dogs roam—one pet stays free. Off-road parking is on site, with additional spaces nearby.
Builth Wells lies nine miles away with year-round events at the Royal Welsh Showground; Hay-on-Wye, ten miles south, is known for its bookshops and literary festivals. For those after solitude and moorland air rather than activity, the cottage works just as well. Smoking is not permitted inside.
