About Fforest Fields Caravan and Camping Park
Fforest Fields is a family-run touring, camping and glamping site set within a working 500-acre farm a few miles outside Builth Wells, in the quiet countryside of what was historically Radnorshire. The touring and camping area is spacious and well spread out, giving pitches a real sense of privacy rather than the packed-in feel of larger commercial sites, and the surrounding fields and woodland make it a popular choice for families and for anyone bringing dogs.
As well as traditional grass pitches for tents, campervans and touring caravans, the site offers a small selection of glamping options including yurts and a stone cottage, giving flexibility for mixed groups of campers and non-campers. On-site facilities include modern shower and toilet blocks, electric hook-up on touring pitches, and a farm shop selling essentials and local produce. The site's rural setting makes it a good base for walking directly from the farm, for stargazing away from light pollution, and for day trips into Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and the wider Cambrian Mountains.

What visitors say
We’ve just returned from a stay at Fforest Fields during the May half-term and had the best time! The facilities were excellent, and we loved the on-site shop, lakes, walks, and dog run. A special mention has to go to the showers too – it was an absolute joy to have proper hot running water without having to keep pressing a button every few seconds to keep it flowing! We stayed at the top end of the meadow, which was perfect for our three spirited children. They had plenty of space to run and play, and because we could see them at all times, it meant we were actually able to relax and enjoy ourselves too. This was our first camping trip where it genuinely felt like a holiday for the adults as well as the children. We were able to unwind, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and make the most of everything the site has to offer. The area itself is stunning, and one of our favourite things was watching the red kites soaring over the meadow. We’re already talking about when we can come back! A fantastic stay from start to finish — 10/10, highly recommended. Thank you, Fforest Fields!

The rumours are true. Fforest Fields is one of the best campsites out there. It somehow manages to nail a back-to-basics feel with an impressive array of facilities. I had a lovely conversation with a couple of other campers about if we could install a drying room like theirs in our homes. The toilets were spotless, the showers spacious. There's hooks in all the toilet and shower cubicles too. I visited before the cafe was open for the season but the honesty shop was surprisingly helpful. The lake is just brilliant and perfect for paddle boarding. It's rural, but close to shops and attractions and the walks from the site were lovely. Sunsets here are like no other. If you come here you will definitely fall in love with Wales if you haven't already.

Booked last minute never stayed before so didn't know what to expect. Easy to find friendly welcome on arrival. I was in a campervan and although a beautiful placeI was not able to explore it as much as I wanted the weather was windy and wet I did not sleep well due to this. Clean warm toilet and shower room the showers are spacious and one of the only ones I've used where you can dress on a dry floor. Great washing up area with hot water. Nice little shop I purchased some local honey and a greetings card. The cafe didn't seem to be open. Would definitely stay again but would try and visit when there is better. weather.

Don't know about rooms as I'm in a tent, but the toilets and showers are spotless. The staff are really friendly and helpful, little cafe selling ice-cream, cakes, coffees and stuff. Then there's reception with bacon, eggs and milk, all sorts in the for making some food for a meal. A beautiful lake to walk or swim in, if your a biker this is a perfect campsite, drying room and all.
