Ty Grug Pods

The perfect off grid family getaway! Scenic, serene and peaceful. We had an amazing stay at Ty Grug Pods, my husband and I and our 3 children aged 6-8yrs, who loved seeing the cows and their calf’s in the next field. The facilities are excellent, comfy, warm, spacious pods. Lovely and clean toilet/shower block. Plenty of fridge space to keep things cool. There are also fire pits with all you need to light a little fire for the evening, for BBQing or toasting marshmallows. There is also toasters, kettles, hot plates, everything you need really. Also plenty of outdoor space for games (also provided) and for kids to burn off some energy. And the most beautiful, peaceful sunset. Thank you to our hosts, we will definitely be back! 🧡

Had such a lovely stay here - the host was absolutely fabulous, waited for us to arrive and gave us a tour. She was so welcoming and kind, she absolutely is the reason for the 5 stars! The cabin was cute, double mattress and a space to pop bags underneath. There were plug sockets and light switches for inside and outside. The cabin does get a little hot in summer (we were there in 30°!), so I'd maybe bring a small portable fan if its hot - and don't forget your bug spray! Cooking facilities include kettle, toaster and fire pit - kindling, logs and coal were all provided. Be aware there are no other kitchen utensils (no mugs, cutlery, plates etc) so bring your own! We made smores over the fire in the evening - would highly reccomend. It was heavenly to see the sunset over the hills, and to also wake up to the birds and sheep - I've never felt more peaceful.

We stayed at Ty Grug Pods for two nights in August as a family and had a wonderful time. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by Di, who was extremely helpful and friendly, giving us a thorough tour of the facilities and all the information we needed for our stay. The pods themselves were spotless, modern, and very comfortable — we all slept brilliantly. The setting is truly spectacular: peaceful, with uninterrupted views across the valley and surrounding hills. There’s easy access to local walks, and we used the pods as a perfect base to explore the Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley. During our short stay, we enjoyed both walking and canoeing on the River Wye. The Wi-Fi was excellent, which was a real bonus given the patchy mobile phone reception in the area. We were lucky with the weather, which made the trip even more special, but I have no doubt it would be just as enjoyable in any season. Overall, I would highly recommend Ty Grug Pods and would happily return in the future.

This is a very beautiful place — especially the view, which is absolutely stunning. The barbecue area, along with the kitchen facilities, was well-equipped and made our time even more enjoyable. We had an awesome time here with our friends! The owners are incredibly humble and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. We’ll definitely be visiting again! Raheel & Aisha
