Lake Vyrnwy Luxury Glamping Pod 2

Photo: Lake Vyrnwy luxury pods

Lake Vyrnwy Luxury Glamping Pod 2 is a self-contained lodge sleeping two, built in 2021 on a private caravan and camping site in rural Powys. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is here: a fitted kitchen with gas cooking, heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. The open-plan living space has a Smart TV and patio doors opening onto decked garden furniture, and there's a two-person hot tub for private use. A welcome pack is provided, along with parking for two cars.

The single bedroom has a double bed, and the shower room includes a heated towel rail. The site sits roughly 100 yards from a lake, with the larger Lake Vyrnwy—an RSPB-owned reserve—about a mile and a half away. That reserve is known for walking and wildlife watching, with sightings of pied flycatchers, dippers, ravens, buzzards and peregrines. A shop is within a mile, and pubs and restaurants around a mile and a half distant. The property is adults-only and does not accommodate children under 16.

I have stayed in a few pods and this by far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, clean accommodation set in stunning/ breathtaking and peaceful surroundings. The pod has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was not so lucky with the weather but this didn't spoil my enjoyment. The added bonus of the hot tub being under shelter meant come rain or shine you could still relax in there and take in the views and watch the local wildlife. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to those wanting some rest and relaxation

Amazing little place, it’s so charming. Surrounded by sheep and they’re adorable. The pod has been stocked pots, pans, plates, glasses etc. Wonderful views, I would’ve preferred more towels or a robe for when coming out the hot tub. Also a stand to hold the towels/robes. Place is very clean and cosy. Overall I’ll be back!

I stayed here on my own back in December and absolutely loved it. The luxury pods are beautiful - they were equipped with everything I needed and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. I brought my bike with me as there are some excellent routes close by. A winter sunset hot tub after a long cycle was literally bliss. The owners are lovely and really helpful but completely leave you to yourself unless you need anything. I really can’t fault the luxury pod and would love to come back.

Spent 4 nights in pod 1 The pod was very well presented, very clean and modern only a couple of years old, situated on a hill side at the back of a traditional caravan park. The whole site appeared very well kept . Visited in early October, the weather was disappointing, but we were prepared for that, be warned due to the location can get windy . However, the great views wet or dry make up for that. Location can feel a little remote, but you may want that . Pod was well appointed with more space than you may think but may feel smaller with more than 2 occupants, quality TV with good sound, and a decent hot shower, both are good to see. The upper bed area requires some degree of dexterity if your not to mobile might not be for you but is very cossy and but lower sleeping is available The large hot tub was great, and Shelter works well Plenty of parking Bed mattress and sofa get a little uncomfortable after a couple of days, would like to have seen more site security maybe, the waste recycling at rear of pod could do with a path as grass gets wet and soggy. The site operated did pop down on day 2 to check on us but otherwise left us to it. Very usefull folder with lots of valuable information about site and area Enjoyed the accommodation and location perfect if you want a quiet break away from it all. Would advise take plenty of supplies, good walking boots a coat and a torch as it get very dark at night if you are a towny Recommended
