When adventure under canvas meets peace and gorgeous Welsh scenery, Forest View delivers in spades. Right next to the hiking paths of Powys's Dyfnant Forest and half an hour's drive from buzzy Welshpool, this pop-up campsite offers level grass pitches (some with electric hook-up) and a modern heated shower block. The real charm lies in thoughtful extras: a shared chill-out zone with TV, microwave, USB charging and fridge/freezer, plus a cute wooden barbecue hut seating twelve – perfect for get-togethers with firewood and firelighters supplied.

Site owners even offer cooked Welsh breakfasts if you order ahead. It's 15 minutes' drive to Llanfyllin for supplies, and with kayaking, cycling and sailing all nearby, there's plenty to fill your days. Dogs are welcome year-round at this walkers' and wildlife paradise.

June 2025 It is a decent enough campsite, the owners seem nice, the bathrooms are clean and there is toilet paper and soap. There is also one sink for doing dishes and getting water. However, 30p for two people in a small tent for one night is too much, since it was hard to find a level spot, the showers are lukewarm at best and there are only two bathrooms for the entire site, (you’ll have to wait quite a bit for the loo or shower, and there were only about 5 other guests there). There is nothing wrong with the campsite per se, but if you charge top prices, I’d expect top facilities. Would not return.

Just had a fantastic weekend in my campervan along with a friend in his. Jayne is a wonderful hostess very friendly and helpful and goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect for your stay and gives guided tour of the facilities on arrival. It’s a lovely quiet site with very little passing traffic and nice facilities. Had a couple of great evenings cooking in the BBQ hut and having a fire in the pit afterwards, which we made sure we cleaned the ashes away and left as we found it ( as you should). There’s a great area to sit inside if the weather is bad too. Really looking forward to returning again!

I really like this site. As with the other reviews the owners are lovley , the site is at the very top of the hill ( a good use of the gearbox required) , I can't really think of anything they had not thought of for the size of the site. Breakfast availible along with dining table and TV area , indoor fire pit and very clean loos. Only down side is camp field had a slope to it. I would literally sleep standing up for the call of the bird song in the morning. Superb stay , would stay again.

We stayed just the one night but we'll definitely become regulars. The host was so welcoming, friendly and down to earth and went above and beyond to look after us. We stayed in the yurt and it was breathtaking, with lovely facilities, home cooked breakfast in the morning and treats for the dogs too. Definitely recommend!
