Lower Goytre Farmhouse

Knighton straddles the border between Wales and England, giving the town a distinctive character reflected in its independent shops, restaurants and year-round antique fairs. Lower Goytre Farmhouse stands on a working farm just outside, surrounded by its own gardens with seating that overlooks grazing ponies and sheep. Footpaths lead directly from the property into the wider countryside, making it a natural base for exploring Offa's Dyke, the Teme Valley and Glyndwr Way.

The detached farmhouse has four bedrooms sleeping seven: two doubles, two singles, and one further single. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and smart TV connects to a kitchen-diner equipped for proper cooking, with a separate utility room housing washing and tumble-drying facilities. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included, along with initial fuel for the fire. One dog stays free. The property is yours alone, with parking for two cars on site and no smoking indoors.

The location puts Shropshire's attractions within reach for day trips—Ludlow, Church Stretton, Ironbridge Gorge and Shrewsbury are all reasonable drives away. Locally, there is golf, clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing; the Powys Observatory runs planetarium shows. Knighton itself has tea rooms, pubs and places to eat, or you can collect a takeaway and return to the farmhouse garden.
