Heyope sits within reach of Knighton, a border town straddling Wales and England with steep streets lined in 17th-century timber-framed buildings. From here, Offa's Dyke and the Glyndwr Way are accessible for walking, while the Powys Observatory, clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing are all nearby. The Teme Valley draws visitors year-round, and Church Stretton and Ludlow lie within easy driving distance. Knighton itself hosts regular fairs and holds antique shops, cafes and pubs throughout the year.
Oak View Cottage sits on a small site where each property has its own grounds. The layout is single-storey: a combined living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles), and a shower room. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen and wi-fi are provided, along with initial logs for the fire. A private hot tub sits on the patio, and there is parking on site. An enclosed garden has a BBQ. Games facilities including pool and table tennis are shared with other properties on the site, as is a washing machine in an external utility room. No smoking throughout.
