Pen Copi

Pen Copi is a detached 17th-century cottage that comes ready to use: heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included, along with initial fuel for the open fire. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer, so you can prepare proper meals or travel light. Downstairs there's a sitting room with Freeview TV, DVD and CD players, plus a separate dining area. A bathroom with bath completes the ground floor.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one has a double bed with an ensuite bidet and toilet, the other two singles. The cottage retains original period features throughout. Outside, a patio with garden furniture and a private car space come as standard. One pet is welcome; the countryside here is sheep country, so dogs need to stay on a lead. There's a pub within a mile and the market town of Llanidloes—five miles away—has restaurants and shops. The setting is farmland and Severn Valley scenery; smoking inside is not permitted.
