Y Gadlas - Barcud Coch

Y Gadlas – Barcud Coch is a hand-built pod sleeping two, set on a single level overlooking farmland in the Welsh countryside near Penybontfawr. Everything needed for a stay is provided: electricity, gas heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included, along with logs and firelighters for the wood burner. The owner has finished it to a high standard, with insulation throughout and heating via wood burner, gas and electricity, so you arrive to a warm space.

Inside, an open-plan living area contains a wood-burning stove, Freeview Smart TV and dining space, with a separate bedroom holding a kingsize bed and storage. The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob and oven, microwave and fridge. A shower cubicle serves the bathroom. One dog can stay at no extra cost, on the condition it remains on a lead (livestock occasionally grazes in adjacent fields). Outside, a wood-fired hot tub for two is heated and ready when you arrive, set in a front garden with seating. One car can park on site. Smoking is not permitted indoors. The surrounding private field is available for recreation. A pub, restaurant and village shop are roughly 1½ miles away in Penybontfawr.
