About Rhos y Foel
Set in a rural pocket of the Llŷn Peninsula, Rhos y Foel is a small, family-friendly campsite that punches well above its weight. Spotless shower blocks with genuinely powerful hot water, well-kept grounds and genuinely welcoming owners create a peaceful base for exploring this corner of Gwynedd. The real draw, though, is the setting: spectacular mountain views stretch out from your pitch, and the location is ideal for days out across the peninsula.
Campfires are allowed, dogs are welcome, and electric hook-ups are available. Rates are pleasingly reasonable, making it a solid choice for families or couples after a no-frills, scenery-rich stay without the price tag of posher sites. Just don't expect WiFi – but that's rather the point.

What visitors say
Brilliant little site in a stunning part of Wales. The setting is gorgeous — rolling hills, fresh air, and that proper “away from it all” feeling. Pitches are well-spaced, facilities are clean, and it’s perfectly placed for exploring the Llŷn Peninsula. Abersoch is just down the road too. Would absolutely return.

The site was very easy to find, in a superb, quiet location. The new toilets and showers are excellent and kept extremely clean. The owners were very welcoming. I would recommend this site, especially to any women travelling alone as I was. It is very safe.

My stay at Rhos Y Foel Campsite was an absolute delight from start to finish, and it's all thanks to the incredible host, Marta. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such genuine warmth and a friendly smile that made us feel instantly at home. The campsite itself is lovely—peaceful, well-maintained, and set in a beautiful location. But it’s the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere created by Marta that makes Rhos Y Foel a place we will be returning to again and again. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway where you're treated like family, I cannot recommend this campsite enough. Thank you, Marta, for making our stay so memorable!
