Rhosfawr Caravan and Camping Park

We decided to go away last minute for the weekend, and this site was the only one available in the area. Toilets: You have to bring your own toilet roll, and unfortunately they felt quite dirty and very run down. Showers: These are chargeable and cash only. We usually book a fully serviced pitch, so thankfully didn’t need to use them—but they didn’t look inviting at all. Site: The “play area” is extremely run down and, in my opinion, not safe. The baby swing is completely broken and just left there, and the football posts are snapped and lying around. It really wouldn’t take much investment or effort to improve this. Pitches: All grass and very uneven, with no gravel or hard standing anywhere. The grass had just been cut and was still damp, so every time we went in and out of the caravan we ended up bringing loads of cut grass inside, which quickly became a nuisance. Location: This is the best part of the site—great for Pwllheli and Abersoch, and set far enough back from the road to be peaceful (aside from one evening disturbance from other guests). Management: The welcome felt a bit frosty. To be fair, we were shown to our pitch and helped to position the van in the dark, which was appreciated. However, the site is cash only, which felt like a red flag. When I said I didn’t have cash on arrival, I was told to pay in the morning “but don’t worry, there’s CCTV everywhere.” I fully intended to pay, but that comment felt unnecessary and immediately put me on edge. On one afternoon, the owners approached a young boy to ask which caravan he belonged to, then spoke to his parents about his behaviour in the play area—apparently spotted on CCTV. Personally, the idea of the park being monitored so closely made me feel uneasy, especially given the already poor condition of the play area. For what you get, it’s overpriced—especially with the poor facilities, lack of a proper play area, and no shop. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect place to go for a peaceful break. The managers are helpful and nothing is too much. Amenities are cleaned everyday, and plenty of spaces to recycle. There's a designated field to take your dog for a run around. Would definitely recommend

Campsite is big and quiet but it’s not run good toilets are dirty and full of spiders not really maintained you have to provide your own toilet roll signal for your phone is rubbish nothing on site only a rubbish park pay by many showers that are not really powerful near the weekend if you want to lie in forget it bin men arrive there between 5 am and 6 am banging all the bins about wouldn’t recommend see pictures below 👇
