About Tyn on the Llyn Campsite
Tucked into the quiet folds of the Llŷn Peninsula, this tiny eco-conscious site delivers what many larger campgrounds can't: genuinely spacious pitches, immaculate facilities and those stargazing skies untouched by light pollution. The compost toilets and showers are kept spotless, the friendly owners share excellent local tips, and the view from the washing-up area—across rolling hills toward distant peaks—might be the most scenic dishwashing backdrop in Wales.
With just a handful of pitches, the atmosphere stays peaceful even in high season. Pwllheli's shops and three-mile beach lie fifteen minutes away, while the surrounding coast offers everything from sheltered coves to west-facing surf breaks. Walkers can tackle nearby Tre'r Ceiri, one of Britain's finest Iron Age hillforts, and there's good access to mountain biking, watersports and coastal paths. Campfires are allowed, dogs welcomed year-round, and renewable energy powers the site—a thoughtful, small-scale gem that punches well above its weight.

What visitors say
What a fabulous campsite. Jamie was so kind, thoughtful and friendly with helpful tips of where to go and nice music to listen too. It is a lovely setting with views of the hills. The campsite is beautiful with many recently planted trees and a patch of wild flowers and many patches of wild grasses that the birds love. The facilities are great. Jamie keeps the toilets really clean if you are nervous about compost toilets. Lovely showers, a great shelter for cooking and sitting in if the weather is not great. Highly recommended

We bought a campervan recently and this was our first weekend away! What a place it is, the area is incredible, enjoying a stunning sunrise and sunset both nights. The facilities are great, coming from someone whose never used a compost toilet! Amazing shower looking across the fields. Jamie was great, always helpful and welcoming. We'll be back!

I spent two peaceful days here staying in my campervan. Jamie was a great host and a pleasure to chat to. The facilities were absolutely spotless with the added bonus of being able to take a shower with a panoramac view of the hills at sunset. Fantastic value for money, highly recommend.

We stayed in the static caravan, gorgeous views, immaculate accommodation, host is very friendly and responsive. Love that they are environmentally conscious, providing ecover washing up liquid, plant based washing powder (for bedding and towel, not for guess use), wooden chopping board, minimal plastic use etc. Really lovely site, quiet and peaceful. Good pricing. Though we didn't camp, we had a look around, there is a barn with gorgeous chunky wood dining table for campers to use on rainy days (and another chunky bench in the shower cubicle). The owners have really put thought and care into this place. I would say it is the best campsite I've been to. Would highly recommend this site.
