Cleveland Way Cottage
Redcar and Cleveland
View on Google MapsCleveland Way Cottage is a converted fisherman's cottage in Skinningrove, positioned directly on the walking route that runs between Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Staithes along the Yorkshire coastline. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles and one bunk room. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower over. The cottage comes to you with bed linen, towels, wifi and heating all included, so you arrive ready to settle in rather than make lists of what to buy.
The ground floor holds a living and dining room with a wood burner, a television and sea views, plus a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine—everything needed to cook properly or prepare simple meals. Upstairs are the three bedrooms. Outside, a small enclosed garden area with furniture sits ready for fair-weather days. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost. The cottage does not permit smoking. Parking is on the road outside.
From the front door, you step directly onto the Cleveland Way itself, which makes this location unusual for anyone wanting to walk the coast without the usual drive to a trailhead. Skinningrove sits between two bays popular with visitors, and Whitby, known for its fishing heritage and events, lies within easy reach for a day out. The North York Moors are accessible for inland exploration when you want a change from the shoreline.
