Forge Cottage

A wood-fired hot tub sits in the tiered rear garden of Forge Cottage, a restored stone cottage in Redcar and Cleveland. Built from traditional local sandstone and rebuilt in 2022, it overlooks Scaling Dam reservoir with access to water sports, fishing and moorland walks. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom—one with a bath and walk-in shower, the others with showers—and all furnished with smart TVs and either zip-and-link or super king beds.

The ground floor is one open-plan living space with a woodburner, dining area and kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. Upstairs are the remaining two bedrooms. The garden wraps around the property: a side patio and a raised, enclosed rear area where you can position yourself to catch the sun, use the barbecue, or soak in the hot tub. A log starter pack and initial heating are included; the hot tub can be pre-heated by arrangement for an extra cost to the owner. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are covered. The cottage is non-smoking and there is parking for two cars, with additional on-road spaces nearby.
