About Abbey Hotel

Abbey Hotel is a substantial 100-room property set just off Dagnell End Road on Hither Green Lane, on the edge of Redditch in Worcestershire. Its scale means it caters comfortably for both leisure guests and those attending meetings, with en-suite bathrooms throughout and grounds that include a garden for stepping outside.

Rooms are kept clean and comfortable, and the on-site restaurant serves generous, well-liked food alongside a bar for evening drinks. Breakfast is included, and facilities stretch to an indoor swimming pool that guests find warm and inviting, plus a spa and sauna, though the spa area doesn't always match the rest of the hotel for upkeep. Staff are generally friendly and attentive, even if service can occasionally feel a little disorganised. Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception add convenience for arrivals at any hour.

Redditch itself lies a couple of miles away, and the British Motor Museum gives visitors a solid reason to explore the local area. Golf, fishing, pubs and restaurants are all within easy reach nearby, making the Abbey Hotel a practical base for exploring Worcestershire.

Myself and my friend visited the Abbey Hotel on 7th August for a one night stay booked via spa seekers. This included a 2 course meal and breakfast. From arrival to leaving we had an absolutely fantastic time. We were celebrating my friends 40th birthday and I mentioned this to the hotel after booking. When we arrived in the room, 40th birthday banners were up on the walls which was a lovely surprise. The room was clean and well equipped. Our time in the spa and pool was very relaxing, all the facilities were well maintained and clean. It was also very quiet and peaceful. On the evening we went for our meal in the hotel restaurant and were greeted by Charlotte who couldn’t do enough for us. She noted it was my friends birthday and brought us complimentary glasses of Prosecco to celebrate. The food was absolutely beautiful and there was plenty of it! The meal was finished by a beautifully decorated birthday plate prepared in the kitchen. We were served by both Charlotte and Alice D in the restaurant. Both of these members of staff chatted to us, made us feel at home and added to a fantastic stay at your hotel. They should both be commended for the extra attention to detail and the time they took to spend with us, and we felt like we were talking to friends! Breakfast the next morning was beautiful, plenty of choice and constantly refilled. All in all we were very happy with our stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!

Did a two day golf break with three friends. Food was excellent both the evening meal and breakfast. Staff attentive and friendly. Room could probably do with touching up but it was clean. Greens on the course were inconsistent but I recognise it may be the weather but overall I don't think it was as well maintained as on my previous visits. But overall great value for money.

I had a fantastic experience at The Abbey this week. The check-in process was seamless, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and extremely well appointed. I made full use of the gym and pool facilities, both of which were excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed a superb breakfast. While the facilities and food were outstanding, as is so often the case, it’s the people who truly make the difference. Adele, who I believe is the Reception Manager, along with her team, were exceptional in every respect – welcoming, helpful, and consistently professional. They are an absolute credit to the property.

Amazing dreamy experience! Cannot wait to go again! Kerry has magic hands as I had her for my treatments and you know she did passionate about her job as you hear, see and feel it! Well worth it and scenery is beautiful!! Food was lovely I guess more choices would be nice or changes in menus in both places but the breakfast was lovely and calm, sat with nature to drink my coffee, so calming! They do need more loungers indoor buy space is limited. Also thank you to the kind lady for making my room special and checking in as well as making sure I had water in this heat!! Thank you Kerry and the team.
