Had a fabulous lunch for my husbands birthday. Ann the landlady made us very welcome. The food was excellent and I had possibly the best Crème brûlée I’ve ever eaten. The chef is fantastic. We will definitely return.

We stoped here over night on our way back home(Cornwall to South Yorkshire).Lovely village green location. Brilliant night's sleep & fabulous full English breakfast. If ever we are in the area we will definitely stay over again.

I have known this pub since 2005. The landlady has always been a "character". Think Faulty Towers. She is a lady of few words with no filter at all. Just ride with it and see the humourous side of things. The food food is good and very reasonably priced.

This is my second visit to The Green Dragon with friends who live local to the area. The pub is very old and creaky with black beams and crooked floors. Its like walking into someones house. A typical old English pub in an old English village. What better place to enjoy deliciously home made food cooked and prepared by Pete. The Sunday roast is beautiful. I had turkey and our friends had roast beef all served with the best roast potatoes I've tasted, stuffing/ yorkshire pud and a generous helping of vegetables on the side with extra gravy boat. The meat is tasty and succulent. The desserts are to die for, again all home-made. I had the date pudding with custard which was delightful. The dining area was busy as we came for Sunday lunch, but the service was still good. The landlady may come across as a little brusque, but that's just the way she is. She actually gives this place a unique character. There are far too many large pub chains serving uniformed mediocre food at very high prices. This place is reasonably priced, and very individual with the most amazing food. It's a refreshing find nowadays. I would highly recommend here and will certainly come here again.
