About Island Meadow Caravan Park
Island Meadow Caravan Park occupies a genuinely rural seven-acre site at Aston Cantlow, bounded by the River Alne and a mill stream about six miles north-west of Stratford-upon-Avon. Mature trees, plentiful birdlife and fishing on the water give it an unusually green feel for Warwickshire, and the family-run atmosphere is deliberately low-key. Spacious grass pitches take touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with electric hook-ups available, and there are also camping pods and holiday caravans for hire. The heated amenity block includes showers and disabled facilities, and a licensed shop operates on site.
There's no swimming pool or dedicated playground, though returning guests often mention that the flat lanes around the village work well for children on bikes. Aston Cantlow itself rewards the short walk: the King's Head is a well-regarded village pub, and the parish church is where Shakespeare's parents are said to have married. Stratford is fifteen minutes by car, with Henley-in-Arden and Alcester closer still. The park opens seasonally from March to late October.

One of the best campsites we have ever been to in 20+ years of camping. Super camp shop which acts as the local shop for the village, hence the large selection. The site has many trees around which provide sun shade and shelter from the wind if there is any. I got a bit from an insect, and the lady was kind enough to provide some tablets to help with the swelling. The only downside is mobile phone signal is weak, but that seems to be true fir the whole area. Lovely pub just a quarter of a mile down a track. This also serves proper meals.

We will definitely be returning to Island Meadow. Quiet location very much in the countryside. Pitches left plenty of space between. Beautiful country pub very friendly, only a short foot path by a small field and through the Church yard. Proper cask ale and decent menu choice. Our visit was very last minute due to planned camp site being over crowded, little space, dusty and loud. They actually did us a favour because we found Island Meadow:) On flood meadows it is therefore flat for camping, also due to low level the pitches remain green when other sites are reduced to dust (August 2025). A phone call was enough to secure our booking. They also reserved a pitch next to ours for another van who could only make the following night. Super handy shop/tea room here. Great help with answering questions regarding the local area.

The greatest camping and caravan park in the land! Katharine is so helpful, accommodating and friendly. The shop is also a cafe, it stocks everything and more! Surround by animals, nature on a little island and a lovely pub 5 mins walk... Just perfect.

Perfect. Lovely spot. Manager and family/staff fantastic. Facilities met our needs easily. Lots of really lovely, scenic, peaceful walks on the doorstep. The site shop is a really useful bonus, offering more than the essentials, well priced. Fresh baked goods daily, perfect for camping holiday, and fresh local asparagus.
