About Premier Inn Rhyl Seafront
Walk into a room at Premier Inn Rhyl Seafront and you'll find an en-suite with air conditioning, drinks laid on, and in a good number of cases a straightforward view out to sea. Accessible rooms are available, and with three floors served by a lift, getting to and from them is easy enough. It's a practical setup rather than a fussy one, which suits a seafront stopover.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for breakfast and evening meals, with the food generally well regarded even if service can vary from visit to visit. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Free on-site parking is available to guests who register their vehicle at reception, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it, alongside 24 hour reception for late arrivals.
The location on West Parade puts guests right by Rhyl's beach and arcades, with pubs, restaurants, golf, fishing, and watersports all nearby, plus entertainment on the doorstep for evenings out. It's a fair base for exploring North Wales more broadly, with the seafront itself doing a lot of the work.
What guests say
I’ve visited this hotel before and I have to say unfortunately the cleanliness has gone downhill. The room floor had hair (you could tell it hasn’t been hoovered) and there was hair in the bathroom too! The taps were dirty and it didn’t even look like an attempt had been made to clean the room. The walls had marks on them as if someone had spilled a drink on the wall I was a paying guest so I assumed that I would get a drink from the coffee machine included but turns out that you have to use the coffee sachets in the room (which we didn’t like) and can’t get coffee from the machine unless you pay; well that didn’t happen the last time I stayed as staff were polite then and had asked me kindly what drink I wanted but this time round I had to pay for a latte? Cleanliness was below standard and staff seemed as if they were not happy working there

Service was decent . All else was so so. We had a premier plus room. No heating. They said they would look at it. 3 days and still no heating. Shower mediocre compared so some others. One day they said that 2 cleaners didn't turn up so our rooms probably wouldn't be cleaned (premier plus) the bar closest after breakfast until 5pm. Must lose a lot of business during that time. And premier plus have to walk outside around the building when bar closes. Why cant they just install shutters at the bar and let people walk through. Waiting area has a coffee machine and hot water, but thats not in use. Also cleaners never refilled the tea and coffee. Alan from Scotland was nice and restaurant girl was very nice . But definitely needs some work and windows cleaned at this hotel.

Rooms clean fine. Don't book the breakfast, complete shambles; despite guests booking in so the staff should calculate what food required, nobody could get a full plate of breakfast, as small amounts were cooked & brought out at a time; everybody was waiting whilst 6 fried eggs at a time were brought out..when there must have been 50 guests turning up at 9am. This shouldn't be a surprise to them, every Sat am must be busy. They should be ready. Nobody was replenishing the bread, everything was empty. Guests wished they hadn't paid for breakfast & gone to Greggs instead. Faulty Towers. Think there was 1 poor person in kitchen. 1 person covering tables, bar & reception. We had breakfast here before a year ago. Really gone down hill. We asked staff about it & they explained food is made to order & not left out too long. The system does not work. Quality of food fine. Bringing out small plates onto hot buffet at a time just clearly frustrated all the guests. Nobody was happy.

We stopped in the new Premier Plus rooms which were lovely - only a walk in shower and not a bath, but this was fine for us. Everything worked and no issues. They are on the ground floor at the back so don’t expect a sea view. They do have their own entrance onto the promenade at the front but the entrance was full of litter and needed some attention. Breakfast was good and well cooked. I’ve deducted 1 star for the location. Whilst right in the centre of Rhyl and on the sea front, I thought Rhyl itself was a dump and i didn’t feel particularly safe in an evening outside of the hotel. In particular is the street you have to walk along at the rear of the hotel to the free hotel car park 25 meters away. In the short distance I spotted 3 abandoned mattresses and some sort of drugs deal in progress. The flats in the street also appeared to be attracting a certain sort. Whilst I appreciate this is outside the hotels control, it didn’t particularly encourage me to venture out or return to Rhyl. I would say it’s a good hotel to use as a base to explore the wider North Wales area.
