About Darnells' Farm Luxury Glamping

For many folk, there's nowt finer than a day rambling gorgeous rural scenery, followed by a country pub dinner and possibly a pint or two. Such sensible types will heartily approve of Darnells Farm Luxury Glamping, set in pretty Herefordshire countryside just a mile from the M50 and 15 minutes' drive from Ross-on-Wye.

This tiny farm site makes an excellent base for exploring the Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills and Wye Valley AONB, all within easy reach. Walks and bike rides unfold in every direction, or you might prefer to paddle down the Wye in canoes from Ross. Three excellent pubs sit within walking distance if you need incentive to complete your chosen route – though with barbecues and kitchenettes on site, you're equally set for self-catering suppers.

The smart glamping units come properly sorted: ensuite bathrooms, underfloor heating, quality towels and linen, plus sofas and TVs for when your adventures leave you craving comfy chillout time. It's a thoughtfully done setup that takes care of the details.

My partner booked a surprise stay for the 4 of us on the may half term week in one of the safari style tents. It was very pleasant. My first time glamping with lovely facilities inside. Very relaxing setting at the end of a road that finishes at the farm. Hot tub a great addition as kept us all cool in the 32 degree heatwave. Danni was very helpful & checked in with us after an "intense" (pardon the pun) thunderstorm knocked out the power in the local area for a few hours during our stay. For a small site the park was a decent size for younger children and there was table tennis and a football playing area as well. The boys were drawn to the hot tub though as they treated it like their own mini pool :) Our dog also made a new playmate with one of the Darnell dogs :) Thank you Danni & co. for a lovely stay

We spent three relaxing days in a lovely pod. Well equipped and comfortable - Lovely quiet location but within easy reach of Ross and other towns. Had repeat visits from a lovely, friendly little cat who I was tempted to put in my case but didn’t think they’d appreciate urban life - great spot for a chilled out few days.

We had the best stay in one of the beautiful glamping pods. Perfect size for our little family (2 adults, 2 young children), clean and well equipped. We stayed during the summer holidays and the children absolutely loved playing in the outdoor space, meeting the animals on the farm and playing in the play area. We made our own pizzas in the pizza oven and toasted marshmallows on the fire pit in the evening. Danni and Graham were amazing hosts. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed in this gorgeous accommodation with friends and have to say we didn't want for anything. Refreshing to take a small bag and not have to bring along bedding and towels etc. Very peaceful, well kept site. Pizza oven, ping pong, bar-b-q, wood burner, comfy sofa and very comfy beds. Close enough to good pubs, The Alma was about 30/40 minutes walk and highly recommended. Would definitely visit again! Thanks Danni.
