About Ryeford Ponds Glamping
Tucked into six acres of Herefordshire meadows, ponds and woodland, this tiny off-grid site near Ross-on-Wye feels wonderfully remote. Spacious pitches are dotted across the forest floor for privacy, yet close enough to keep groups connected, and the dark skies at night invite campfire gatherings under the stars. Immaculate toilet and shower facilities belie the wild setting, while the outdoor summer kitchen and washing-up area make camp life surprisingly comfortable.
Children love the rope swings, mud kitchen and natural playground, and there's plenty for adults too—hammocks for afternoon snoozing, birdwatching (buzzards and woodpeckers are regulars), and Canada geese coming in to land on the ponds. The owners are friendly and welcoming, ensuring guests feel looked after without fuss. Whether you're here for the bell tents or pitching your own, it's a peaceful, wildlife-rich escape where putting your feet up is positively encouraged.

What visitors say
Our new favourite campsite! Aldona's place is just incredible. The perfect balance of off-grid camping and having everything you need close to hand. The children are able to run free and play in nature safely, whilst you sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. Aldona is really welcoming and leaves you to enjoy yourself and make yourself at home. I hope it's not too long before we can return.

What an absolute gem this place is. We loved the shady pitches (even in a heatwave the valley stayed relatively cool), own fridge, fire pit & bench as well as an array of hammocks, swings and thoughtful touches throughout the site. Also I think these were the cleanest bathrooms & sinks I’ve ever seen on a campsite. Lastly, the owner is super nice & genuinely seems happy to share the site with visitors. Will be back.

This is a very special quiet & beautiful camping spot! We had a 3 night stay with friends, we were able to book the whole site just for our group and we had children who could run about safely & enjoy the space. We all loved having the special hidden valley just for us. The facilities are excellent, everything is thought of and if we needed anything our hosts were quick to offer help & advice. I’m booked in for another group stay in May as we all wanted to return together!

We have been returning to this magical place since it first opened and have since recommended it to friends who stayed then recommended it their friends who have stayed! Its so magical and in a perfect, private and very peaceful family friendly location within rural Herefordshire right next to the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. It has the most fabulous and clean facilities and everything you could ever wish for including flushing toilets, large showers and a very generously equipped kitchen/dining area plus the owners are so friendly and attentive which is so reassuring! Off-grid Glamping in these Bell Tents has never felt so luxurious with proper double beds and mattresses all made up allowing you to completely switch off and detox from normal life in the peace and be close to nature with extraordinary dark skies too! It is also very eco friendly and dog friendly which is a huge bonus for us. It is very clear to see how much love and care has been put into this beautiful family campsite. We certainly will be returning again and again!
