About Sussex Topiary Campsite
Sussex Topiary Campsite sprawls across open grassland near Rudgwick, where fifty pitches (thirty with electric hook-up) offer a genuinely relaxed base for exploring West Sussex. The real draw here is the freedom: campfires are actively encouraged, dogs roam happily, and there's an unpretentious, back-to-basics feel that families and groups seem to appreciate. Facilities cover the essentials—clean showers, toilets, drinking water—though don't expect WiFi or anything fancy.
Reviews praise the friendly, laid-back atmosphere and the space to properly unwind, though a few mention the site can feel a little tired in places and that prices edge toward the higher side for what's on offer. Still, if you're after somewhere straightforward where you can actually light a fire, bring the dog, and avoid over-polished glamping vibes, this ticks the boxes.

What visitors say
First time here! It's so chill, gonna stay an extra night as it's been so nice, bats in the evening and you can hear the tawny owls in the evening/night. Staff and site so welcoming. Hot showers, and I think they're gonna be building another shower block soon so that'll be awesome!! If you guys make a slightly bigger play park for the kiddies too that'd be absolutely sick! There's a communal fire pit which is a beautiful addition and perfectly placed amongst the trees, lots of shade all round for the hot weather. The communal fridge is super handy, I could literally live here in our tent all year round.. so nice!! A new favourite spot for us for sure! Looking forward to our next stay.🤘🤘🤘🤘

Lovely campsite in a lovely area with loads of walks including the nearby Downs Link. Lots of pitches. The only thing that needs some work is the toilet block as quite often people hadn't flushed loos and even blocked them. But had a great time with shops nearby and a great pub.

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and exploring the local area. It’s a lovely, family-run site with a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The nearby pub is great too — good food and a nice local feel. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and we’d definitely come back again!

The campsite had fridge and very hot water and was generally clean, but the playground was quite small. A major issue was several groups, seem to be friends of the owners, constantly driving cars around the campsite, even just from their tents to the toilets or to visit other tents for chatting. This happened multiple times, not just once, and even after 10:30 PM. They drove fast and no one on-site did anything to stop them. Think this is unacceptable and I am quite disappointing.
