About Travelodge Ryde Isle of Wight
Ryde's seafront and Esplanade are a short stroll from Travelodge Ryde Isle of Wight, making this a practical base for exploring the town and the wider island. The hotel sits on Lind Hill in a spot that manages to feel both central and calm, with staff on hand around the clock who know the local area well.
The hotel has 41 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in-room, plus accessible rooms and a lift for those who need them. Some rooms show their age and can pick up noise from outside, so light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. Pets are welcome, and an electric vehicle charge point is available, though parking itself is at a chargeable nearby car park a few minutes' walk away on Anglesea Street.
Pubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment are all within easy reach, and the area caters well to fishing and watersports for anyone keen to get out on the water. With prices that flex depending on when you book, it works as a no-frills stopover for seeing what Ryde and the Isle of Wight have to offer.
What guests say
Well maintained room with a comfortable bed and good shower. Even though the bathroom extractor fan was noisy the door was substantial enough that it couldn't be heard in the room. There is free on-street parking between 18:00 and 08:00 immediately outside and within a couple of minutes walk, 1 hour max at other times. Plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. Well placed for the Ryde ferry and hovercraft.

Great location. 4 night stay. Hotel has no air con and so in the recent heatwave we saw a temp of 30C/86F in the room - at night! There was a fan on the room but a cheap desktop affair. We bought a bigger fan, which helped but still extremely uncomfortable. The window opens only about 5 inches and so little airflow available. After the first night the electrics on the top floor stopped working and so we were moved to the ground floor with a view over the bins. It was at least a little cooler in this room. We were in a disabled room. Well laid out and roomy. The beds are laughably narrow. They can be put together but still little more than a double bed. The bathroom/shower was well laid out and suitable for wheelchair use. Pretty awful cleanliness, with mould and rusty/decaying fittings. Staff were pleasant enough, although I question the Hotel's lone worker policy - with a single person (mostly young women that we saw), on the desk over night. Must be quite scary for them, when persons pile back into the hotel after a few. All in all, OK although if you can afford a non-budget hotel, you're probably better off going elsewhere.

Very noisy as the walls seem very thin and I can hear every door shut loudly. There is no parking and no resterant. You really are paying for just a basic room. Location is good but that's about it. Oh, the staff are good though.

The room is nice, bare minimum, but nice. The WiFi is free…for 30 minutes before charges apply. There’s no bathroom door lock and the bathroom bin already had used tissues in when I checked. A strangers ear wax was not a nice sight. The built in light on my right bedside was broken, one flick of the switch and it immediately turned on and then off. Possibly the worst part is that turning the door handle automatically unlocks the deadbolt on the door, which did not make me feel any safer considering my recent doubts with the company
