About Stonehenge Campsite and Glamping Pods

Set in peaceful countryside near Berwick Saint James, this campsite delivers a surprisingly varied offering for such a rural spot. Choose from non-electric grass pitches, electric hook-ups or fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitches, plus glamping pods if you fancy something cosier. Campfires are encouraged, there's a food shop on site, and facilities include hot showers, launderette and washing-up areas—though some visitors note the toilet blocks can feel a little neglected at busier times.

The real draw is location: you're ideally placed for Stonehenge itself and a web of excellent walking routes through the Wiltshire countryside. Staff earn consistent praise for their friendliness, and with dogs welcome year-round and motorhome services available, it's a genuinely flexible base for exploring Salisbury and beyond.

We found this campsite after arriving at our original booking and quickly realising it wasn’t for us, and we’re so glad we did! We received such a warm welcome from the gentleman on reception, who showed us to a lovely little pitch. It felt like we had our own private garden, with fencing around it and a picnic table too. He kindly gave us a tour of the facilities, and everything was spotless. The toilet and shower block was beautiful, clean and very well maintained. There was also a campers’ kitchen with washing-up facilities and even a fridge/freezer available if needed. He also pointed us in the direction of a lovely church and stream nearby, as well as recommending great places for dinner and breakfast, which was really appreciated. We only stayed for one night, but we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if we’re in the area again. Highly recommended!

Wow!! I was in amazed at how friendly and welcoming the owners were. The Campsite is huge and the location is absolutely spot on for Stonehenge National Park. We were very lucky to have an unexpected upgrade in the Glamping Pods, we were booked in for the Festival Pod, but upon arrival they moved us into the Yurt, what a wonderful place to stay in, the Yurt was very clean and had everything you could want inside, a fridge, kettle with cups, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, 2 bedside lamps, a double bed a 2 seater sofa and a log burner amongst other bits of furniture. The Shower rooms and toilets were clean and modern. The whole site was impeccable and was maintained to a high standard. I thank the owners very much for making our stay a pleasant one as we had a very comfortable stay, my only gripe would be of my own doing as I wished that we could have stayed for a longer period of time, even if we were in the Festival Pod, as many other Campsites are not in this bracket of cleanliness and do not have a warm and friendly atmosphere as this one.

Had the most magical weekend, the staff are super friendly, the campsite itself is homely and has everything you need. Decent showers. Clean toilets, the food options were great - lots of vegan-friendly options which was a nice surprise, and the best part: the wellness and workshops - it’s worth going for those alone. Regular shuttles to Stonehenge, picturesque walks everywhere. Will be back next year, loved it!

We had the most wonderful two-night stay in this beautiful gypsy caravan. Tucked away in the peaceful countryside, it felt like a true escape from everyday life. The caravan itself was charming and thoughtfully styled, with cosy interiors, comfortable bedding, and lovely little touches that made it feel both rustic and fun. Waking up to birdsong and open views across the campsite was a real highlight, and the location was perfect for exploring Stonehenge and the surrounding area. Evenings were magical too—sitting outside under the stars with a glass of wine, soaking up the tranquillity. The site is kept very clean by the friendly and helpful wardens who are based on site. A perfect little getaway—relaxing, memorable, and just the right blend of comfort and adventure. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.
