About Swift Farm Camping
Swift Farm Camping occupies two quiet fields on a working farm near Woodnesborough, with medieval Sandwich just five minutes' drive away. It's a genuinely small-scale, eco-conscious operation—the owners live on site alongside resident horses, sheep, goats and ducks—so the atmosphere feels refreshingly personal rather than purpose-built. A handful of non-electric grass pitches welcome tents, roof tents and small campervans (up to transit size), plus there's a single unfurnished bell tent; narrow approach lanes rule out large motorhomes and touring caravans.
Hot showers, washing-up facilities, phone charging and a communal fridge keep things comfortable, while complimentary tea and coffee and a small refreshments hut add a friendly touch. Campfires are allowed if raised off the ground, and dogs are welcome on leads outside the bell tent. The Five Bells pub and a village shop lie a short drive away in Eastry, and the beaches at Deal, Broadstairs and Margate are all within half an hour. The site opens only during a limited summer season, reflecting its hands-on, family-run character.

What visitors say
We had a wonderful time camping at Swift Farm. It’s a quiet rural camp sight with just a few pitches which meant it was really peaceful. The facilities were really good including a compost loo, shower, fridge, freezer and kettle. Everything was really clean and in excellent working order. Karen was very welcoming and showed us around the farm and introduced us to the animals. We had a really great time and would definitely come again

Camping Holiday+ Swift Farm= Perfection. There are no words to describe our holiday with Karen and Garry, all I can say is you arrive strangers and leave as friends. It really was the best holiday ever and we shall return for small breaks and longer in the future. Karen was there to greet us by name, not just an arrival time. The fields were beautiful, we had so much room to pick our site. We decided on the top end by the sheep and I can't rate how delightful it was to wake up to sheep. They really have it all, Karen, the toilet ninja keeps the facilities so clean and topped up you wouldn't even know if there was a mess. Garry keeps on top of the wood so everyone has enough for their fire pits. They also let the children, of all ages *cough 37* know when it's time to feed the sheep and horses. It's lovely I can't rate it more, I made friends with them all but Malibu is my favourite. The fields themselves are tended to so well, green and clean, Karen at once told us where ants nests were and even offered us powder if they became a pest. Both were aware of weather conditions and offered to dry any wet clothing even going as far as giving myself and my husband a spare waterproof coat to use until we left. They have a garage where you can get everything for a fire pit, fridge, power banks and free tea and coffee for all. There are print outs for local walks, events in the area everything you need. Nothing was too much for either a d it's a brilliant place to stay for a few nights of longer, we was genuinely sad to leave but can't wait to return next year. Old Compo was a new concept for us all but you quickly adapt. My 4vyearbold walked in for the first time and declared "Hay, that's not a proper toilet." but by the end she had her saying, "One scoop to cover the poop." Karen and Garry have seen to everything even going as far as making a small communal area with relaxing chairs and various toys for the kids to play with. It's situated in a beautiful area with wonderful walks and excellent places to visit by car, lots of English Heritage areas to explore and lovely beaches. All I can say is book and visit for yourself and have the perfect holiday we was treated to. Thank you Karen and Garry from the bottom of our hearts. See you again soon. ❤️

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Swift Farm camping. Karen and Gary are great hosts, so welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Everything was kept clean; I was a bit apprehensive about the compost toilet but it was fine, always clean and easy to use. There is complimentary tea and coffee to use and then you can hire a fire pit for the proper camping experience. Karen and Gary took some time with our girls to show them the farm animals on site which was so kind. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to camp and get back to nature!! Karen and Gary are so welcoming and laid back, ensuring every part of our stay was catered for. Complimentary tea and coffee, WiFi, charging points in the shed, duck and hen eggs available to buy, shower and 'old compo' the brilliantly maintained composting toilet all available on site. Well worth a trip here, I'll definitely visit again.
