Blackmoor Farm

Old caravan in need of renovation. The caravan was clean and the beds comfortable. Good fridge although freezer needed defrosting .good cooker and microwave. Tv signal and picture very good. Narrow lanes to and from main roads where care is required

We really enjoyed our days at Blackmoor Farm - the house is beautiful and super-cosy, the underfloor heating a great addition for when it's chilly, and of course the hot tub... Not just these features though - the house is well-equipped in every way, we wanted for nothing. The hosts could not have been more gracious and the surrounding area is gorgeous - our whole stay was perfect :)

We have just come back from a stay here in caravan 1, a family of 5 with a small dog. This really is a lovely, tranquil place. If you are looking for 5☆ luxury this isn't the place for you but if you want a beautiful slice of natures heaven this is a great place. We arrived to a welcome pack for the dog and us so we could have a cup of tea and a chill before we unpacked. It is a small site with no wifi which may put some people off but it meant our kids, 15,13 & 8 actually played with each other. The games rooms had table football, ping pong, pool table and darts which the kids enjoyed. A laundry room if you need it is an added bonus. Caravan 1 had everything we needed, its not a modern van but it was comfortable non the less. Clean, homely and big enough for us. We found the gas cooker to be a bit slow but we were only in the van for breakfast so it didn't bother us too much. The grounds are well kept and there is a livery stables on site which my horse mad daughter loved. It does feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and I wouldn't want to drive the narrow lanes in the dark but it is a fabulous place to explore the surrounding area, you are only a short drive away from the beaches and shops. There is no check in, no office, no staff on site all the time but we had phone numbers if we needed help with anything. The people coming and going to the stables and doing the gardens were very helpful and friendly. We were there for 3 nights but felt like we have had a week away.

Lovely place, loads of room and beds. It was nice having a hot tub and games room included. The children enjoyed seeing the ponies across the yard and the other games rooms. The location is nice and quiet.
