About Oakvale Caravan Park
Zipping off to Pembrokeshire for pretty beaches and harbours, or to have the run of the countryside trails? The dog-friendly Oakvale Caravan Park is a properly peaceful place for a break surrounded by the Pembrokeshire countryside – and when you're ready to trade in the fields for some sand, it's within 20 minutes' drive of Newgale beach, Broad Haven beach and Fishguard.
This small, family-run site stretches over two acres with countryside views all around, making it ideal for couples or more mature guests after a genuinely quiet getaway. Facilities are modest – toilets, showers (though no hot water), and chemical disposal – but you're hardly cut off from civilisation: the A40 is under a mile away, and Fishguard's ferries to Ireland are easily reached. One local pub is just five minutes' walk, and another sits nearby, both serving home-cooked food.
Barbecues are allowed (off the ground, please), so stock up at the supermarkets four or five miles away and settle in for a proper escape. With activities like canoeing, climbing, fishing and horse riding all nearby, there's plenty to fill the days before returning to this tranquil spot.

Came here for our honeymoon 35 years ago, decided to come back for our anniversary. We forgot how beautiful the site was, it's so peaceful here, just listening to the birds singing while sitting out having a drink. You do need a car and will need to bring some food with you as there is no shop on site, There is a restaurant, which also does takeaway. The pizza was delicious. We stayed in The Retreat. Yes, it is on the entrance to the park and you do have cars in and out and people passing by walking their dogs but that doesn't bother us as we are quite chatty and like to pass the time of day. The bungalow is fantastic, it has everything you need, right down to a pizza cutter. The place was spotless, a shout out to Steve who cleaned it before our arrival. Well done. The reception staff are lovely, I only got to meet Sarah when checking in and checking out, a lovely lady. I had email correspondence with Tara, who was polite and helpful. Thank you for the prosecco in the fridge, really thoughtful of you. All in all, it was a home-from-home holiday, which we loved, We will be back, we won't leave it so long next time. Just one little quibble, and this is just my opinion, the decking gets the sun all day, it would be nice to have a parasol just for some shade, it can get a little hot sitting out there.

Great caravan park, we stayed in the lodge, which was well equipped and comfortable. Good swimming pool. Caravan park located in small village so you really have to drive everywhere although journeys too the beach is extremely short (8 minutes).

Lovely place, staff very friendly. We stayed in the retreat which was very clean, we all slept well. We arrived and got a friendly welcome, there was a welcome pack waiting for us so we could make a drink on arrival. One of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. Recommend the boars head for tea, only 5 minutes down the road. For kids there is a small pool and play area.
