A family-run woodland park on Scarborough's edge, with touring pitches and a pub on site
About Jacobs Mount Holiday Park
Jacobs Mount sits on the western fringe of Scarborough, tucked among mature woodland that gives it a sheltered, established feel quite different from open coastal sites. The family-run park mixes static caravans with a touring section for tents, caravans and motorhomes, and electric hook-ups are available. On-site facilities include Jacobs Tavern—a proper pub with pool tables that becomes the natural gathering point in the evenings—along with a small shop, two launderettes and two separate play areas split by age group so younger and older children each get their own space.
Its position just off the A170 means a short drive into Scarborough town, the beaches or out towards the Moors, while the site itself stays quiet and tree-lined. Visitors appreciate the woodland privacy and the pub, though some note the facilities can feel a little tired in places. It suits families after a campsite with some on-site entertainment laid on, including dog owners, without needing to be directly on the seafront.

What visitors say
After recently visiting this site at Jacob’s mount , we decided very quickly that we would not return, apart from one member of staff don’t know her name but she had short hair and was on call, she was amazing, as for the other 2 members they were rude especially the man, literally no activity’s for children whilst there over the Easter period, and there attitude was well it’s mainly old people here so we don’t bother! Apart from that site was clean, Shop was poor. We spent most of our time at flowers of may, staff great there Cheerful friendly we have booked it for our next visit

We have been coming for almost fifteen years and have never had to comment. Bar-Clubhouse has no atmosphere at all bar staff sterile and no customer service. Toilets considering they have been closed since October gents floor is still a possible trip hazard following there refurbishment The only saving grace is the lady at reception is 🌟🌟🌟 Very professional and accommodating 😊 Let’s be honest since it was bought out unfortunately standards have slipped dramatically in fact at the time we visited 60% of the campsite was empty with most commenting on the points I have raised. Unfortunately since previous owners have left it’s not the same, we will not be returning any time soon and will find an alternative campsite which is very disappointing considering the amount of years we have been coming 😡😡😡

We visited as a tourer for a couple of days in late Autumn, it was quiet and clean and in a good location close to Scarborough attractions. It's not CAMC or C&C but it's not advertised as that , we tried it cos it was different. It was cheaper and slightly less inclined for tourers but hey , if we wanted that there is a site less than 2 miles away. For our short break it was fine.

Fantastic weekend in a pod, facilities clean, tidy lovely and peaceful. Staff very friendly and interactive. Walked into Scarborough Town centre 35mins steady pace from site, turned into pub crawl nice pubs along the way. Would highly recommend the the site 10/10.
