⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing stay at this beautiful independent hotel. The grounds are stunning, and having a spa on-site offering a full range of treatments is a real bonus. Our first room was lovely — the bathroom was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a hotel, and we even had a separate front room. The warm weather made the room a little hot, but reception brought a fan up straight away. We visited the bar and Kevin was brilliant — so friendly and his customer service was excellent. Before dinner we had an issue with noise from the room next door. Linsey on reception couldn’t have apologised more and immediately offered to move us, even though the alternative might have been smaller. We didn’t mind as long as we could get a peaceful night. Instead, we were upgraded to a spa suite and it completely exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, the space, and the views over the fields were incredible. We even sat and watched the sunset — absolutely perfect. We chose to eat in the restaurant and the service from our waitress was 10/10. The food was delicious, full of flavour, and even my fussy‑eating husband tried new dishes and enjoyed every bite. This really is a hidden gem in Scarborough. We’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to family. It feels great to support an independent hotel. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable stay.

Stayed for a private party, the setting was amazing, staff were lovely. Facilities are great, we stayed in the Whitby room which was very clean and comfortable. Full Yorkshire breakfast in the morning to cure my hangover. Will definitely visit again

Brilliant stay all round, service fantastic and friendly. Loved breakfast and the whole offer. Bedrooms full of treats and perfect for a family. The gardens are amazing full of hide aways and wildlife that my son loved exploring. Thank you and we willbe returning.

We stayed here recently for a weekend and had a great time. The hotel grounds are very picturesque and well kept, and its location is very scenic. The lamb in the restaurant during the evening was delicious. The spa has a decent sized steam room, sauna, and has a pool long enough to have a proper swim in. Was also a nice little touch to open the hotel room door straight into a garden/courtyard and sit with a morning coffee by the water feature. Definitely worth the 10-15 mins drive away from Scarborough Town, and a great weekend away location to mix a visit to Scarborough with a spa break. One very slight improvement could be to extend the curtain covering the hotel room doors ever so slightly. I found that by drawing it for full privacy, it left a bit of a gap on the opposite side that allowed some light into the room in the morning. Was a small compromise for the perk of a door with a window looking out to the inner courtyard though.
