Blueacres
Scottish Borders
Blueacres is a ground-floor cottage on the edge of a smallholding in the Scottish Borders, set between Biggar and Broughton with hills visible across the surrounding countryside. The owners live adjacent to the property, which is entirely yours for the duration of your stay. One double bedroom and a shower room are complemented by a living room with television and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave and washing machine all present. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included; heating comes from a ground source system.
An enclosed patio with garden furniture opens from the living room via patio doors, and there is parking for one car on site. Dogs stay free, and a bike store is available. The village of Broughton, three miles away, has a brewery and tea room; Biggar offers food producers and regular events. Walking and cycling start from the doorstep—Broughton Heights and Trahenna Hill are both within reach. Peebles, 15 miles off, has restaurants and independent shops. Glentress mountain bike trails are 17 miles away. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both accessible for a day out. A pub is three miles away and a shop and restaurant four and a half miles. The property does not permit smoking.
