Paxton House - The Garden Apartment

The Garden Apartment at Paxton House comes ready for guests to arrive and cook straightaway. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and the kitchen has everything needed for proper meals: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The bathroom pairs a bath with a shower attachment. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and there is Wi-Fi throughout.

The apartment occupies one ground-floor wing of the main house, with all rooms on one level and accessed via seven steps to the entrance. The open-plan living space contains a sofa bed (double, for flexible sleeping) and a television with Freeview, plus a dining area. The bedroom has a 4ft 6in double bed. Guests have sole use of the whole apartment and on-site car parking is free. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is a step within the grounds themselves.

The apartment looks out over the south lawns and shares access to courtyard seating and gardens. The property suits couples looking for a quiet base in the Scottish Borders, and is close enough to explore the region but far enough to genuinely retreat. No smoking indoors.
