The End Hoose

Scottish Borders

View on Google Maps

The End Hoose is a terraced cottage standing on a working arable farm in the Scottish Borders, with views across fields toward Northumberland. The farm grows pumpkins—visitors in October can harvest their own—and keeps sheep and cattle; April brings lambing, while late summer is busy with the harvest. Ground floor rooms have exposed beams. Upstairs, two bedrooms sleep four: a king with countryside views and a twin with single beds. Two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, one with a shower cubicle only.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and fridge, enough to cook properly. The living room holds two sofas, a Freesat TV, DVD player and a shelf of films, books, jigsaws and board games, plus an electric wood burner. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. An enclosed rear garden with patio and seating overlooks the fields. Two cars can park on site and there's a lockable bike store. Travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available if needed.

Four miles from the Scottish Borders and within reach of Northumberland's attractions, the cottage suits families and small groups exploring the region. No smoking inside.
